Primary Purpose
The Senior Manager – Digital Sourcing plays a pivotal role in transforming the organisation’s global sourcing ecosystem through digital innovation, supplier enablement, and operational excellence.
The role leads key digital sourcing initiatives, acts as product owner for supplier development tools, and partners closely with cross-functional teams to drive long-term supply chain capability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership
• Drive the organisation’s digital sourcing roadmap, from concept to execution, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
• Define and lead multi-year strategies for supplier digital enablement, supply chain transparency, and process modernisation.
• Partner with senior leadership to influence digital decision-making and secure alignment for key programmes.
Product Ownership & Delivery
• Lead supplier portal/product development as the primary product owner.
• Translate business needs into clear product features, user stories, and technical requirements.
• Break down complex problems and develop execution roadmaps with measurable milestones.
Project & Stakeholder Management
• Lead implementation of digital initiatives across sourcing markets, managing risks, budgets, dependencies, and performance metrics.
• Engage senior stakeholders, including C-suite leaders, to influence adoption and change management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compelling business cases for new digital capabilities.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
• Monitor and analyse project performance data, recommending actions to improve product efficiency and user adoption.
• Ensure digital products deliver optimal customer experience, reliability, and operational effectiveness.
• Actively identify opportunities for process optimisation and supply chain transformation.
People & Team Development
• Coach, guide, and upskill team members to build a high-performing digital sourcing function.
• Support onboarding processes and develop structured growth and support plans for the team.
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience
• Degree in Supply Chain, Business Operations, Operations Management, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in digital sourcing, supply chain transformation, or product ownership.
• Strong experience in leading end-to-end digital initiatives within global or multi-market organisations.
• Experience in consulting firms or consumer goods sourcing environments is advantageous.
• Background as a product owner or working closely with senior stakeholders is preferred.
Technical Skills
• Strong knowledge of sourcing systems, supply chain processes, and digital tools.
• Clear understanding of product lifecycle management, MVP, and iterative delivery methodologies.
• Agile or similar certification preferred.
Leadership & Interpersonal Skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to simplify complex issues.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills; able to translate technical content into business impact.
• Skilled in influencing senior stakeholders across geographies.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate future needs and shape digital solutions.
• Proficiency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is strongly preferred.
