Job Description
ASIA-PACIFIC CHIEF SUPPLY CHAIN OFFICER 18-Month Transformation Mandate
Location: Bangkok, Thailand (Singapore-based candidates considered with regular Bangkok presence)
Engagement Type: Fixed-term contract (18 months)
Start Date: 1 May 2026
Search conducted by: Axentia Global (exclusive mandate)
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
THE OPPORTUNITY
Our client is a global leader in advanced additive manufacturing, serving the precision-critical luxury automotive and medical device sectors. As AI-enabled production systems fundamentally reshape the economics of advanced manufacturing, the organization is undertaking a comprehensive redesign of its Asia-Pacific supply chain architecture.
This is not a conventional Chief Supply Chain Officer appointment.
This is a mandate to design, construct, and operationalize a next-generation APAC Supply Planning Hub and Digital Control Tower headquartered in Bangkok. The successful candidate will report directly to the Global CFO and work in close partnership with the Global COO and Bangkok Site Leadership Team to deliver a technology-enabled supply chain model capable of supporting accelerated growth and the operational complexity inherent in AI-driven manufacturing.
We seek a leader who builds systems, not one who inherits them.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
SCOPE OF AUTHORITY
The mandate encompasses full transformation accountability across:
→ Supply Planning & S&OP → Logistics & Distribution → Manufacturing Operations → Direct Procurement → Quality Assurance → Information Systems (Supply Chain & Manufacturing) → Enterprise-wide Transformation → Succession & Transition Architecture
Team Structure: Approximately 25 direct reports with an extended organization of 150 professionals.
Note: This role does not carry P&L ownership and is not a vendor management mandate. It is an enterprise architecture and execution assignment focused on structural redesign and systems modernization.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
STRATEGIC DELIVERABLES
The successful candidate will be accountable for delivering the following outcomes within the 18-month mandate:
- Establish and operationalize a centralized APAC Supply Planning Hub in Bangkok, serving as the regional nerve center for demand planning, inventory optimization, and capacity orchestration.
- Design and deploy an integrated Control Tower environment providing real-time visibility across planning, logistics, and manufacturing operations.
- Reconfigure planning, execution, and manufacturing processes to align with AI-driven production technologies and the precision requirements of medical-grade and luxury automotive manufacturing.
- Integrate information systems across planning, manufacturing, and quality functions, eliminating data silos and enabling predictive decision-making.
- Stabilize operations post-implementation and build a robust succession architecture to ensure continuity beyond the mandate period.
There is potential for extended engagement; however, the permanent organizational structure may evolve geographically following project completion.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
We seek a transformation leader whose career demonstrates the rare combination of strategic vision and operational intensity required to architect and execute systemic change in complex manufacturing environments.
Professional Experience:
- 18–22 years of progressive experience in global manufacturing environments, with substantial exposure to precision engineering, regulated industries, or advanced production technologies.
- Demonstrated success leading enterprise-level supply chain system and process redesign—not incremental improvement, but fundamental transformation.
- Proven track record implementing digital planning ecosystems, control tower architectures, or AI-enabled manufacturing integration.
- Deep operational experience across Southeast Asia is essential. Familiarity with Thailand's industrial landscape and regional supply chain dynamics is strongly preferred.
- Ability to influence C-level stakeholders and navigate board-level governance with credibility and nuance.
Leadership Attributes:
▸ Resilience — The capacity to sustain high-intensity execution through ambiguity and organizational resistance.
▸ Architectural Thinking — The ability to conceptualize integrated systems while maintaining precision on implementation details.
▸ Composure — A steady hand when complexity escalates—clarity of thought under operational pressure.
▸ Political Acuity — Sophistication in navigating organizational dynamics without becoming captive to them.
▸ Independence — Comfort operating without extensive regional infrastructure support—resourcefulness as a default mode.
This assignment requires a builder and integrator—not a steady-state operator. Candidates whose careers have been primarily characterized by maintenance-focused leadership without substantive transformation accountability will not be considered.

WHY THIS MANDATE MATTERS
The client is repositioning its Asia-Pacific operating model to support exponential technological evolution within additive manufacturing and medical-grade precision production. The convergence of AI-enabled production systems, increasingly complex global supply networks, and exacting regulatory requirements in the medical device sector creates both acute operational challenges and extraordinary opportunity.
The leader who succeeds in this mandate will directly architect the structural foundation of the company's future growth platform in Asia—a contribution that will define supply chain capability for the next decade.
This is a rare opportunity: full authority to design and execute a comprehensive supply chain transformation within a high-growth, technology-driven manufacturing environment, unencumbered by legacy constraints and supported by committed executive sponsorship.
